Welcome to the 2019-2020 School Year!

Below please find the welcome message shared with our School Leaders today on our company call by our CEO, Ricardo Campo:

As we kick off a new school year, I want to take a moment to honor each of you.  As you know, our core values spell out “RESPECT.”  I want to thank each of your for embracing this pillar and recognize the RESPECT we as a team have for the children and families we serve, for our profession and for each other.  This RESPECT is what has fueled our drive to continue to grow and improve.  Many of you know that I’m a fan of professor Carol Dweck’s book Mindset, and many of you have read the book.  One of my favorite quotes from that book is “Becoming is Better than Being.”  We here are all passionate about education and about unleashing individual potential.  We have been given a special gift – a PURPOSE.  We have an opportunity to be the spark the children we serve need to become lifelong learners.  We also have the opportunity to be that spark for each other.  So, let’s embrace this journey that we are on together; let’s embrace the notion of “Becoming.”  Let’s celebrate that our purpose does not have a shelf life – because when it comes to our potential to continue to grow, there is no finish line!

So, as we kick off this new school year, I want to invite all of us to embrace our values, and to continue to let RESPECT be what guides our interactions with all of our stakeholders.  And, I’d like to invite you to set lofty goals for yourselves, for your schools, and for your teams.  Let’s encourage each other to Dream Big.  Let’s help each other achieve these dreams.  I’m so excited to hear about your goals and aspirations for this school year!
