Description: I’m a HUGE Scooby Doo fan and I created this Upcycle project with a pulley system to utilize during playtime. One of my favorite characters from the TV show is Fred and he’s famous for creating traps to capture villains. I also wanted to design my own trap using recycled items at my home. To create my Upcycled trap, I used the following: 3 paper towel rolls for the structure, a box for the base, string for the pully, an old light bulb box for the trap, and Easter candy plastic roll as the wheel. The paper towel rolls were colored to resemble trees and an X marks the spot to catch the “bad guy.” The pulley system lowers the cage onto the villain….and once again, Scooby Doo and his friends solve the mystery! During the Covid-19 pandemic, I’m unable to visit the toy store. Instead of purchase a new toy, I decided to create my own with items around the house. My upcycle project also includes the pulley system which I learned about during STEM lessons at Cranium.
