Description: We did an experiment on germs and handwashing. We were talking about germs because of COVID 19 and Coronavirus. We know that dirty stuff makes your hands dirty. But how dirty? So we did an experiment. The first group of kids had dirty hands. The second group had clean hands. The first group touched a slice of bread and put it in a baggie. The second group touched another piece of bread and put it in another baggie. And one piece of bread was the control. We waited and the dirty hands bread got really disgusting and black because our hands weren’t clean. The clean hands bread had nothing growing on it. The control bread didn’t either. This showed us what could happen to your hands if you don’t wash them. Also that we spread germs from our hands to other things. And this is why we should wash our hands! (Also we had fun!)
