Description: I made a desk organizer. I got all my materials out of our recycling bin. Some of the materials I used were a granola bar box, part of a phone case box, a tea bag box, an egg carton, a cherry container and colored duct tape. I used the tea box for a pencil, crayon and marker holder. I used part of the phone case box to hold my stickers. I used a part of the egg carton as an eraser holder. The bar box is for small notebooks. The cherry container is for the phone holder. You can also put bookmarks there if you don’t have a phone. The tape makes it colorful and holds it together. I used all the items I was going to store in the organizer to measure and make sure everything fit. Once I measured everything I started shaping them and cutting them to the right height. I chose to do this project because it helps keep everything sorted on my desk. It makes it easier so that when I’m looking for something on my desk I know where to find it and I’m not looking around for it. I originally only had a place for books and markers but then wanted to keep adding space for my other things. I had fun because I thought about the idea and then made it into a real thing. Upcycling is fun because you can take multiple things and make it into one big thing.
