Description: I wrote a shape poem about volcanoes. I decided it would be fun to use a volcano shape because the word “volcano” originated from the Greek god of fire, Vulcan, and I enjoy studying Greek mythology. I formed the shape as I wrote the poem and changed some of the word choices so that it created the shape I wanted. After I finished the shape, I was trying to think of a way to improve it and decided to use the highlighting option to make the shape reddish-brown like the color of a volcano. Once I finished that, I thought that it would look cool to have lava, so I changed some of the highlights to red. My teacher really liked it and suggested that I submit it for the contest.
