Description: Ice cube painting. We had been painting a lot outside using regular paint, so we thought we would try using
something different. We found a “recipe” for ice cube painting and we thought we would give it a try. It turned out to be a really fun activity – even if we had to wait a bit for the ice cubes to freeze. It was fun to mix up the water and food coloring, pop them into the freezer, check in on them every few hours, and finally get to take them outside to paint once they were frozen and ready!
Supplies:
– Ice cube tray
– Popsicle sticks
– Food coloring/paint
– Water
Instructions:
– Fill up the ice cube tray with water
– Add a few drops of food coloring or paint to each ice cube opening. We had 2 trays so we made 4 ice
cubes of each color.
– Put a popsicle stick in each cube
– Place ice cube trays in the freezer and let them freeze
– Once frozen, pop the ice cubes out and hold them using the popsicle sticks to paint!
