Description: We live in a neighborhood with LOTS of construction going on. In fact, Olivia says she wants to be able to drive and operate an excavator some day! One activity Olivia really enjoys is playing with shapes and building with her magnetic tiles and building blocks. This project allowed Olivia to learn more about construction of a home and construction vehicles while incorporating her love of shapes and the outdoors. This is an ongoing project as she continues to learn and discover shapes in three dimensions, including circle/sphere, square/cube and rectangle/rectangular prism. Olivia also enjoyed related YouTube videos and stories with the libraries being closed due to COVID 19.
