Description: This week Lille has been working with her teacher Ms. Elena via Zoom to learn about the parts of the flower. Lille loves to work in the garden with her family and so she has really been enjoying these lessons and we even do them in our garden. Her favorite project that we have done through distance learning with Ms. Elena was making a flower painting using an empty water bottle. Ms. Elena worked with Lille through Zoom and showed her how to paint the stems, then the leaves and eventually using the base of the water bottle to stamp the petals of the flowers. Lille was very focused during the entire lesson and so proud of what she created and immediately asked to hang it on the refrigerator. I think the painting is lovely but I think what is most impressive about this project is that Ms. Elena and Lille who just turned 3 were able to do this project through Zoom. Life has changed so much in the last few months and all of us have had to adapt to new ways of doing things and I think this is an example of not only Ms. Elena and Lille adapting but thriving under challenging circumstances.
