Description: Rainbow Sun-catchers! (transcribed by Isabella’s mom) I made a sun cacher. I used materials from our art supplies storage, things that we use to make our art activities and creations at home daily.
Some of the materials I used are:
- Tissue paper of different colors that my mom recycles when we receive gifts from our family
- Contact paper
- Scissors
- Tape
- A small piece of rope to hang and
- A wooden hoop to secure the sun archer
First I tear off small pieces of the tissue paper in different colors, my little brother helped me. I had a lot of fun doing it. My Dad help me make a circle in the contact paper and put in the table with the sticky side up. I put some tape in the corners of the paper to hold in place. I start placing the tissue paper in a colorful rainbow pattern, making it look beautiful. My mom helped me cover it with another sheet of contact paper and also placed it in the wooden hoop. I trimmed the edges very carefully with my scissor and put a small piece of rope to hang my suncatcher. I chose to share this Rainbow Suncatcher because I enjoy making art pieces, and rainbow colors are my favorites, when I place the suncatcher in my window, I enjoy looking at the beautiful colors through my suncatcher inside and outside!. Everyday or every other day I get new ideas about projects I want to create. I am very proud that I did this project and the most important, I spent a wonderful time doing it with my family.
